Daemyung IT (CEO Jong-in Kim), a specialized manufacturer of industrial gas meters, received type approval for its household gas meters G1.6 and G2.5 from the Korea Testing Laboratory on the 25th of last month and began full-scale distribution.
The gas meters approved this time are products with proven technology that has been produced since the past at Kumho Meter Tech facilities, and Daemyung IT explains that their quality has stabilized to the point that they are currently being supplied to some OEMs. Accordingly, Daemyung IT has begun full-scale marketing targeting city gas companies nationwide, gas construction companies, and distributors.
Kim Jong-in, CEO of Daemyung IT, said, “As inquiries about home use increased both domestically and internationally during the process of localizing and distributing industrial gas meters, we decided to expand to home production,” adding that they will produce and distribute the best products through thorough quality control.
Daemyung IT has built a production line for household gas meters capable of producing about 30,000 units per month, including six train test facilities, in the first half of this year, and is supplying OEM products to some companies. This time, it has received type approval to sell under its own brand.
Currently, we are domestically producing and distributing industrial gas meters (G10, 16, 25, 40) and turbine gas meters (G65, 100, 160), and we plan to release the household G4 within this year. In addition, we plan to develop the G6 in the second half of next year and the microcomputer gas meter in 2015.
