Daemyung IT (CEO Jong-in Kim), a specialized gas meter manufacturer, recently received type approval from the Korea Testing & Research Institute for its self-developed G6 membrane gas meter.

With this, Daemyung IT has become the company with the largest number of domestically produced products by localizing household gas meters (G1.6, 2.5, 4) and industrial G6, 10, 16, 25, 40.

This time, the domestically produced G6 has a diameter of 25 mm and is produced in two types with center distances of 130 mm and 250 mm, making it compatible with on-site piping conditions.

Daemyung IT was established in January 2000 and imported industrial gas meters from Poland's COMMON. In 2007, it completed the localization of the G10 and 16, followed by the G25 and 40, and most recently, the G6. In 2011, it also succeeded in sequentially localizing turbine gas meters G65, 100, 160, and 250. Accordingly, it plans to export domestically produced industrial meters to the regions where household gas meters are exported.

CEO Kim Jong-in said, “Although the localization of the G6, which has relatively high market demand, was delayed, we expect to see high sales in the future,” and “The existing domestically produced industrial membrane meters are now very popular in the market, with a market share of 50%.”

Ultimately, Daemyung IT has independently assessed that it has achieved an import substitution effect worth approximately 15 billion won through the localization of industrial membrane meters.

Meanwhile, Daemyung IT has also produced a gas volume conversion device (temperature and pressure compensator) locally and obtained intrinsic safety explosion-proof certification, and is actively distributing it. It is also importing and distributing industrial gas meters from G65 to 2500.
