[Gas Newspaper=Reporter Park Gwi-cheol]  Daemyung IT Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jong-in), a specialized manufacturer of measuring instruments such as gas meters and pressure compensators, received the $1 Million Export Tower Award at the 57th Trade Day ceremony held at COEX on the 8th.

As a result of its efforts to develop overseas gas meter markets, Daemyung IT, which has received the Export Tower Award for the first time, is exporting its household gas meters G1.6 and G2.5 to Asian and Central and South American markets, including Israel and Mexico.

In particular, the company's export performance from January to December of this year has already exceeded 2.5 million dollars, and it expects exports to exceed 3 million dollars next year.

Kim Jong-in, the company's CEO, said, "I would like to celebrate with all employees that we have achieved some export results during these difficult times for countries around the world due to COVID-19," and emphasized, "We will not be satisfied with this and will strive to satisfy not only domestic customers but also overseas buyers with better product development, quality control, and thorough and quick service."

Daemyung IT, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this January, has transformed from an industrial gas meter importer into a manufacturer, producing gas meters up to G25. It has also domestically produced temperature and pressure compensators (gas volume conversion devices), which used to be dependent on imports, and has acquired and is distributing KS (KS B 8300) certification.

Currently, Daemyung IT's Hwaseong Plant 1 can produce about 500,000 household gas meters per year, and Plant 2 has the facilities to produce about 20,000 industrial gas meters per year. Daemyung IT is growing into a total measuring instrument manufacturer, producing water meters and accumulating heat meters in addition to gas meters and pressure compensators.
