Daemyung IT Co., Ltd., a comprehensive gas meter manufacturer (Chairman: Jong-in Kim), won the “USD 2 Million Export Tower” award at the 62nd Trade Day Commemoration Ceremony.
Daemyung IT has been exporting household gas meters, industrial gas meters, and industrial electronic gas meters to the South American market and some Middle Eastern countries for the past eight years. The company is also sparing no effort to expand exports to Europe, North America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Founded in January 2000, Daemyung IT initially supplied industrial gas meters to the domestic market and later succeeded in localization. The company currently produces gas meters ranging from G6 to G25. In 2013, it also developed and supplied household gas meters (G1.6, G2.5, G4), contributing to the development of Korea’s gas meter industry.
Chairman Jong-in Kim of Daemyung IT stated, “It took a long time to export gas meters, which require precise measurement, to overseas markets, but our quality has been increasingly recognized, leading to growing exports.” He added, “Through continuous research, development, and investment, we will expand exports to European markets and further enhance the brand value of Daemyung IT.”
Meanwhile, to improve gas meter quality, Daemyung IT introduced and has been operating an industrial gas meter error test bench from Innotech of Germany since 2006, and added another test bench in 2023. This enables rapid response to increasing order volumes and contributes to higher customer satisfaction.
In addition, Daemyung IT localized industrial temperature and pressure correctors in 2022 and launched them commercially. More recently, the company has also been producing and supplying low-pressure temperature and pressure correctors.
