1. Definition :

Volume corrector is a device which calculate the actual volume of gas into normal volume of gas based and P.T.Z.

(Pressure / temperature / compressibility factor)

2. Purpose of Volume corrector.

Gas meter measure the gas based on the actual Volume. But, actual volume of gas is changed depending on the pressure and temperature.

3. Typical Understanding of Volume corrector

* Basic Unit for volume corrector

Vm (Uncorrected volume) – Usually, it is same with counter value of gas meter.

Vc or Vb (corrected volume) –  Vm * C

P – Measured Pressure from gas meter. (Absolute pressure)

T - Measured Temperature from gas meter ( 275 + Celsius Degree)

Pb – Based Pressure (1.01325 bar)

Tb – Based Temperature (273.15K)

K – Compression factor of gas (it is determined based on gas composition)

C – Corrector factor ( Formula = P/Pb  *  Tb/T  * 1/K)
